Pax Animi Counseling

Hello
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in anxiety, depression, life transitions, boundaries, and more. I have worked extensively with teenagers and young adults and collaborate at The Center - A Place of Hope. Passionate about helping individuals and couples find clarity and resilience, I founded Pax Animi Counseling to support people throughout their healing journey, growth, connection, and reclaiming their inner peace.
My Story
I was born and raised in Mexico City, but I've called Seattle home for the past 13 years. After spending more than two and a half decades as a tech executive, supporting colleagues and friends through life transitions and difficult times, I felt a deeper calling—one that led me to mental health.

Seattle’s ever-changing seasons resonate with me. Just like life, some days are full of light, while others are cloudy and introspective. I’ve come to appreciate both, knowing that growth happens in all conditions. When I’m not working, I love traveling, discovering new foods, enjoying the outdoors, and immersing myself in music. I am fluent in Spanish and also fluent in culture. I am able to understand the nuances of Latin American life, whether it’s navigating family dynamics, faith, unspoken cultural expectations, and even sobremesas that last hours to the art of saying goodbye at least three times before actually leaving.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, having earned my degree from Divine Mercy University. My path to counseling was shaped by years of mentoring and supporting others in high-pressure environments, challenging life situations, and transitions. For the last few years, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with The Center • A Place of Hope, recognized as one of the top 10 clinics in the country for anxiety and depression. That experience reinforced my belief that healing is possible with the right support and connection.

Additionally, I’ve had the opportunity to work with teenagers and young adults for over 10 years, which has greatly enriched my approach to counseling. This experience deepened my understanding of the unique challenges faced by younger generations, helping me create a safe, understanding environment to explore their thoughts and feelings.

I founded Pax Animi Counseling—which means "Peace of the Soul"—to help individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges with clarity, resilience, and purpose. I specialize in DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), stress and burnout, spirituality, anxiety, depression, life transitions, boundaries and communication of needs, men’s issues, peer relationships, life coaching, and career counseling. I believe in integrating spirituality with therapy, not as a means of imposing a set of beliefs or practices on my clients, but rather to honor and explore each individual’s spiritual journey as part of the healing process.
Therapy is a collaborative journey, where you are the expert in your own story, and my role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance and tools to help you move forward.

If you think we’d be a good fit, I’d love to connect. Let’s meet and see how we can work together.
